Wicko Lake

It is a beautiful coastal lake famous for its unobstructed views, clean, fish and landscaped.

Wicko Lake was created by separating the former sea bay from the Baltic Sea. The spit separating the lake is overgrown with forest.

Rivers supplying the Wicko Lake: Klasztorna, Świdnik, Głownica.

Villages that lie in the immediate vicinity of  Wicko Lake it is: Jezierzany, Łącko, Wicko Morskie and Królewo.

The northern shore is occupied by the Ministry of National Defense - Military compound Wicko.

The lake is divided into two parts (east and west) through the Królewicki peninsula. Between the peninsula and the northern part of the lake there is a shallow strait with numerous underwater boulders (protruding from the water).

On the lake there are three piers suitable for mooring yachts and for fishing:

  • Jezierzany,
  • Łącko (with toilets, running water and electricity),
  • Wicko Morskie (military bridge).

Technical informations:

  • The length of the lake is 5.1 km;
  • Width 3.7 km;
  • The maximum depth is about 6 meters and depends on the time of year and the work of the pumps on the Głownica channel;
  • The surface of the water surface - 1 059;
  • Average depth - about 2 m;
